David Gilmour has recently released a new ‘making of’ video for his new single ‘Today’, which shows us behind the scenes as Gilmour recorded the track.
The new album Rattle That Lock will release this month on September 18th, which he worked with his wife Molly Samson on who is a lyricist. In the video, Gilmour goes into detail on his collaboration with Roxy Music man Phil Manzanera, who co-produced the new single.
Gilmour also recently released the title track of the new album ‘Rattle That Lock’ which featured Wandsworth prison’s Liberty Choir. During the year he spent time volunteering & helping out the choir who have no returned the favour and appeared on his track.
To promote his new album David Gilmour will be playing 11 dates across Europe as well as playing a number of different dates in North & South America.
Although he is embarking on a solo tour, he made it clear that he has no intentions of getting back together with Pink Floyd. David Gilmour said “I’m done with it. I’ve had 48 years in Pink Floyd – quite a few of those years at the beginning, with Roger, and those years in what is now considered to be our heyday.”
