Dublin’s forthcoming classic rock music station Radio Nova 100 has announced the appointment of David Tighe to the role of Chief Executive. Tighe, who has been the CEO of Limerick’s Live 95FM for seven years, will take up the role in January. Nova 100 will launch in 2010 to Dublin city, county and commuter belt.
Nova 100 Director Kevin Branigan says: “We’re delighted to announce the appointment of David as CEO of Nova 100. David is one of the most-respected Chief Executives in the radio business and his appointment demonstrates how serious we are about making Nova 100 a success from the outset.”
Tighe was appointed to CEO of Live 95 by UTV in 2002, after a successful spell with EMAP in the UK. He has sat as chairman of the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) and has sat on the Broadcasting Complaints Commission (BCC) since 2005.
Nova 100 will deliver a mix of classic and contempory rock music and will broadcast on 100.3MHz FM.
