Def Leppard and Journey’s co-headlining tour is arguably one of the largest rock tours stateside this summer. The trek commenced on May 21st and unfortunately Def Leppard will be continuing without the services of their guitarist Phil Collen.
According to Blabbermouth, the axe man has left the tour due to a family emergency and no details have been made available to further explain his absence.
Rock band, Trixter’s Steve Brown has been drafted in as Collen’s replacement and made his tour debut on May 25th in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Brown filled in for Vivian Campbell in 2014 and 2015 when the guitar player was coping with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The tour is a 58 city stint that will cover North America from now through to early October. Adding their name to the pantheon of bands with signature beers, Def Leppard recently released their first bevvy, Def Leppard Pale, which was released on May 23 rd.
