Dolly Parton has paid tribute to her late husband Carl Dean, who passed away aged 82.
The met outside a launderette in 1964, when Parton was 18 years old. They got married two years later in 1966.
In a statement, country star Parton said that Carl would be laid to rest at a private ceremony, with immediate family in attendance.
"Carl and I spent many wonderful years together", she wrote on X. "Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy". The family have called for privacy at this time, with a cause of death yet to be officially confirmed.
