Don Felder Suffers ‘Medical Episode’ During Rock Legends Cruise Performance

Loading

Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder required medical assistance after falling ill during his set aboard the Rock Legends Cruise, an annual festival at sea that set sail from Miami last Thursday.

This year’s lineup featured an array of rock icons, including Alice Cooper, Styx, John Waite, Foghat, and Robin Trower. Felder took the stage on Thursday night and delivered a set filled with familiar classics, from "One of These Nights" to "Peaceful Easy Feeling." However, during the seventh song, "Tequila Sunrise," the performance took a concerning turn.

Felder appeared visibly unsteady, stumbling as he approached the microphone. Medical personnel quickly stepped in, assisting him offstage as the audience looked on. Footage of the incident has since surfaced online.

A statement later explained the situation:

"Don experienced a medical episode last night during the show. He received medical attention and was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. By medical rules of the cruise, he’ll be in quarantine for the next 24 hours to rest. Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday."

The Rock Legends Cruise continues through February 17th, while Felder’s schedule remains packed. After a series of performances in March and April, he is set to embark on a nationwide tour alongside Styx and Kevin Cronin, beginning in May.
