President Trump’s Air Force One plane has just arrived in Singapore. That’s ahead of Tuesday’s historic meeting with Kim Jong-un. The US president’s called it a ‘one-time shot’, and a ‘mission of peace’, as he aims to persuade Kim Jong-un to give up his nuclear weapons.
Meanwhile, as Kim Jong-un settles in to his hotel in Singapore, there’s some concern how the US president’s row with G7 leaders could impact Tuesday’s talks.
The G7 Summit ended amid a row between President Trump and the Canadian Prime Minister. The US President accused Justin Trudeau of making false statements at a press conference after he left the gathering.
Donald Trump instructed his officials not to endorse a joint statement statement that had been agreed earlier by the leaders of the 7 most industrialised nations.
