New Years Eve is a funny one – there’s that part of you that wants to be in the thick of it, then there’s the other side where you’d rather have a little get together with mates in a quiet setting.

But we’ve got the best of both worlds for all with some pretty cool gigs taking place across the country as well as some low-key hang-outs for the night that’s in it.

The Sounds Of New York – The Dean, Sophie’s & Everleigh Garden, Dublin

Yes, this is as good as it looks. For a full night of dancing you’re going to want to hit up this NYE party. Three floors of differing New York sounds where you can mingle across each one depending on what sounds you want to hear. Plus the guys will greet you with drinks and nibbles on arrival! The gig opens at 8pm.

New Years Eve Party – Galway Glamping

Different? Yes. Serious Craic? Yes. This is absolutely perfect for those who want to spend time with their mates, chilling with a few drinks but taking in the perils of New Years Eve too. And you get to do it outdoors!

New Years Eve Extravaganza – Limerick City

This promises to be lots of fun for young, old and families alike. King Johns Castle will be illuminated with several images throughout the night, while there will also be musical entertainment from 8.30pm. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the end of night firework display.

New Orleans Street Party – The Liquor Rooms, Dublin

Experience the flavour of New Orleans’ most famous strip, Bourbon Street at The Liquor Rooms. This spot will transform to create an amazing New Orleans New Year’s Eve Party. Think Mardi Gras, beads, BIG BRASS band procession and dancers – this will have it all. With liquors to make your tastebuds sing and unexpected happenings to challenge your mind and delight your dancing shoes – usher in 2018 in style! Doors open from 7pm.

New Years Eve Carnival – House, Limerick City

The party is strictly over 23s, so if you’re looking for a place that isn’t crowded with teens – this is your spot. Plenty of food, drink and music all night, the bar will have a carnival theme which kicks off at 8pm and its exactly what you can anticipate for the night that’s in it!

Bingo Loco NYE – Cafe En Seine, Dawson Street

Bingo Loco is taking place in Dublin City Centre on NYE and if the last couple are anything to go by, it’s going to a wild one with loads of craic! Bingo kicks off from 6pm but finishes up after 10pm which leaves plenty of time to get home for those who don’t want to be out after midnight. But don’t be fooled – this is no ordinary bingo night. It’ll be filled with kicking, screaming, conga lines, dance offs and rave rounds!

Tickets to all events are available on Eventbrite.
