The Dublin Simon Community have announced the return of their annual fundraising event for December.

The charity who help the homeless in counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, Cavan and Monaghan, will host this fundraising event in The Helix, Dublin, on December 13.

Titled Sing For Simon 2024, this event will also feature Irish musicians Mary Black, Angeline Ball and Mary Coughlan, as well as the acclaimed RTÉ Concert Orchestra and a school choir.

Tickets for this event are on sale, and all proceeds will go towards the Dublin Simon Community.

"the most challenging time"

Speaking about this event, The Community Director of Fundraising and Communications for Simon, Emma Kilkenny had this to say.

"Winter is undoubtedly the most challenging time for those vulnerable in our society, and we are counting on the public's generosity this festive season to support those who need it most", she said.

Gay Mooney who is a longtime volunteer for the charity, reiterated the importance of community fundraising.

"This concert is not just about raising funds; it's about raising hope and bringing people together during a time when compassion is needed most", he said.

Sing For Simon has been at the heartbeat of fundraising for the community, with several household names having previously performed at the annual event, including Hozier, Imelda May, and Bono to name a few.
