Duran Duran have paid tribute to director David Lynch, who passed away aged 78.

Lynch who directed the Duran Duran: Unstaged Concert film, died yesterday, after he was reportedly "forced to relocate from his house" due to the LA wildfires.

Following this news, numerous tributes were paid to Lynch, which included several household names like Steven Spielberg, James Gunn, Billy Corgan, Edgar Wright, Questlove, Hugh Jackman and others.

"creative superhero" and "enormous inspiration"

Now, Duran Duran have become the latest name to honour the late David Lynch, with keyboardist Nick Road writing the following message on social media.

“David Lynch was a creative superhero for me, from the moment I first saw his film Eraserhead as a teenager. His imagination, innovation, style and humour will remain an enormous inspiration", he said.

“Curious about the unknown and never afraid of a dark alley, he was an uncompromising, experimental artist, with a truly unique vision. Sadly, the weather today in California is stormy and there is no lucky number. Thank you, and goodnight David. May your dreams become evermore surreal".
