Eagles have donated $2.5 million to a benefit concert for those affected by the ongoing LA wildfires.

The band have donated this amount of money to the benefit concert, named FireAid, which has been organised by Live Nation, AEG and Irving Azoff, the Eagles' long time manager.

The concert takes place at the 18,000 capacity Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on January 30. It is to raise money for those who have been impacted by the ongoing wildfires.

Despite being in the midst of a long running residency in Las Vegas, Eagles do not have any shows book between January 26 and February 13.

The band's generous donation comes days after Metallica also announced that they had given $500,o00 to relief efforts, via their All Within My Hands Foundation.

Elsewhere, MusicCares who provide financial safety for those working in the music industry, have also announced a pledge to donate $1 million to support musicians impacted by the fires. They also offered $1,500 in financial assistance and $500 in food vouchers to those who have worked in the industry for three years.

The fires continue to take hold in LA, with over 180,000 people forced to evacuate their homes, and 24 people reported dead.
