After one week of voting, Phish has surged ahead in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame fan poll, establishing a commanding lead in their first-ever nomination.
The jam band giants have secured 101,157 votes, more than any other act in the 2025 class.
Trailing behind, but still with strong support, is Billy Idol at 58,673 votes, followed closely by Soundgarden (57,084). Rounding out the current top seven are Cyndi Lauper (50,308), Bad Company (47,582), Joe Cocker (47,004), and Chubby Checker (42,803).
Further down the rankings, The Black Crowes lead the second half with 39,184 votes, followed by Mariah Carey (36,876), OutKast (35,563), Oasis (32,445), and Joy Division/New Order (31,927). The White Stripes (31,055) and Mexican pop-rockers Maná (12,177) currently round out the list.
Fans can vote daily for up to seven artists on the Rock Hall’s official website, with voting open until April 21. The cumulative fan vote will count as one single ballot, which will then be tallied alongside the votes of 1,200 industry professionals, historians, and musicians to determine the final inductees.
Last year’s fan vote leader, Dave Matthews Band, racked up 586,745 votes before securing their place in the 2024 Rock Hall class. The other top finishers—Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne, and Cher—were also inducted.
The 2025 inductees will be officially announced in late April, including those entering under special categories such as Musical Influence, Musical Excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
This year’s induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, with details on the venue, date, and ticket availability expected soon.
