Users of the more commonly known East Link bridge or Tom Clarke Bridge if you prefer have been forewarned of new year tolls hikes for anyone crossing from the Ringsend side on the southside connecting with the North Wall end of the capital on the north side.
Dublin City Council has announced on Friday that tolls on the Tom Clarke Bridge will increase from 1st January 2024.
The hike is in accordance with the Dublin City Bye Laws of 2021. Councillors say it is line with the Consumer Price index as set out in section 12 of the Bye Laws.
Tolls for cars will go up by 30 cent from January 1st to €2.20, up from €1.90. Vans and buses will have to pay an extra 50 cent to a new total of €3.40.
