Lollapalooza founder and lead singer Perry Farrell shared an emotional birthday moment with Pearl Jam's frontman Eddie Vedder backstage at their show in Brasil. Farrell was attempting to play some sort of tune on a tiny guitar when Vedder gave him a hug while lead guitarist Mike Mcready took a Polaroid.

The band gave the rock icon a cake on stage before singing happy birthday to him at their show in Brazil. Then, Vedder and Farrell teamed up with the band for a rocking version the Jane's Addiction classic 'Mountain Song'. You can watch both clips below.

Mountain Song:

Farrell came under fire recently for having to cancel Pearl Jam's Argentine leg of their Lollapalooza headliner. Disappointed fans took to Twitter to criticise his decision to pull the plug on the event. Speaking on social media Farrell defended his decision to axe the show,

'If people got hurt or killed after they had declared it unsafe- there would be hell to pay. People would be suing over deaths of their family. One day god willing you’ll have a business or a community to protect. Have fun don’t fukitup.”
