Elton John has announced a new book, which will detail his remarkable Farewell Tour.
The music legend who concluded this tour last year, confirmed this news via Instagram. The book is titled Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life on Tour.
Set for release via Disney Publishing imprint Hyperion Avenue on September 24, the book will feature behind the scenes photos of the stage's design, along with Elton John's Gucci-designed wardrobe, posters, celebrity attendees and more.
It will also be forwarded by the tour's manager, creative designer and Rock Entertainment CEO, David Furnish.
Elton John confirmed the news regarding his book via Instagram.
“I am incredibly excited to announce my new book, Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life On Tour, which goes behind the scenes on my final tour, from Allentown, PA, to Stockholm, Sweden and everywhere in between", he added in his caption.
“It’s been a beautiful journey creating this book and remembering the people and places that shaped an incredible chapter in my life".
Earlier this month, Elton John landed his first Emmy Award for Best Variety Special, for his live stream Elton Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium.
The show broadcasted his final North American show as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which became the first show from Disney+ to receive a nod for an Emmy Award.
The singer has now become an EGOT (Emmy Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards) winner.
He has won won five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards for his songs Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King and (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again from Rocketman, as well as scooping a Tony Award for Best Original Score for his musical Aida.
Accepting the award on his behalf, producer Ben Winston said, “I am not Elton John, sadly he had a knee op. He’s absolutely fine but wanted to send his love and thanks to the Television Academy for this incredible award”.
