Elton John has shared a new documentary on how his “Lockdown Sessions” album was created.
This documentary which is titled “Inside The Lockdown Sessions”, will talk about how Elton John made this album over three parts during lockdown.
Featuring exclusively to Apple Music, the documentary will also feature interviews from Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Eddie Vedder and Rina Sawayama.
“Surprise!”
Elton John also took to Twitter to confirm the good news.
“Surprise! Just in time for the holidays, I’m taking you ‘Inside the Lockdown Sessions”, Elton John wrote of his new film.
He also added, “Watch as I go deep into the making of my latest album with all of my collaborators”.

“Merry Christmas”
This Friday will see the release of Elton John’s collaboration with Ed Sheeran “Merry Christmas”. A teaser video was already shared which you can check out below.

Elton John first confirmed the Christmas duet with Sheeran back in October.
“Yeah, he let the cat out of the bag didn’t he?”, Elton told NME. “I was sworn to secrecy and then big mouth fucking Sheeran goes to the Netherlands! It’s supposed to come out – we haven’t finished it yet, so there’s still work to be done”.
He also added, “I can’t say any more than that because it’s in his hands,” before discussing a potential battle for UK Number One with LadBaby, who has picked up the last three Christmas Number Ones with his novelty songs”.
That same month, Ed Sheeran also revealed that he is in regular contact with the music icon, saying that he “phones me every day”.
Ed added, “He used to ring me about once a month – well, we do it on FaceTime via iPad because neither of us has a phone”, he continued. “Then when Lyra was born it became more like weekly – he’s a dad as well and he’d check in”. More on that here.
Elton John has also recently announced that he added two concert dates at his beloved Vicarage Road as part of his farewell tour.
