Road users are being urged to exercise caution as black ice and snowfall create hazardous conditions nationwide.

A Status Yellow Low Temperature-Ice Warning is in place from 8pm.

Temperatures are expected to drop to -3°C in some areas.

From 9pm, a Status Yellow Snow-Ice Warning covers Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster, and Galway, with snowfall expected.

Meanwhile, from midnight, a Status Orange Snow-Ice Warning comes into effect for Clare, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford.

Heavy snowfall is likely to cause significant disruption.

Cyclists and e-scooter users are also being advised to take extra care.
