ESRI Warns Of Dangers Of Mobile Phone Use By Young Children

40 percent of 9 year olds own a mobile phone. New research by the ESRI shows that early access to a mobile phone has a negative impact on a child's academic performance.

Children who had a phone from when they were 9 scored lower in reading and maths at age 13, compared to students who didn't have a phone from a young age.

Research Professor at the ESRI Selina McCoy has wraned of the impact phones may be having on young minds.
