A man has died after following an assault in Dublin.
Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the incident.
Shortly after 8 o'clock this morning, Gardaí responded to a home at Old Bridge Park in Lucan.
A man in his 40s was found inside and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 20s has been arrested and is being questioned at a West Dublin Garda Station.
The scene has been preserved and a technical examination along with a post mortem is due to take place.
Gardaí have established an incident room in Lucan Garda Station and say they will appoint a family liaison officer to support the family of the dead man.
The coroner has been notified and the Technical Bureau have been requested to come to the scene.
It remains sealed off this afternoon
