Fleetwood Mac have announced a brand new documentary, which will look at the history of the band.
This documentary which was announced yesterday (November 19), has been described as “fully authorised” and “definitive”. It will be directed by Frank Marshall, and will be released via Apple Original Films, and Apple TV+.
The film which remains untitled at the time of writing, has been given the following description: “The film will explore how the band’s trials and tribulations, personal resilience, and musical dexterity combined to create songs that have stood the test of time and are enduring masterpieces”.
“It will take fans through the highs and lows of their brilliant career, illuminating the exceptional ingredients each member brought to the band’s uncommon alchemy — a musical union that sold more than 220 million records worldwide”.

Announcing the news on social media, Fleetwood Mac wrote the following.
“It’s not a Rumour. From director Frank Marshall, this Apple Original Films documentary will take you on the epic journey of the generation-defining Fleetwood Mac”, they said.
On this documentary, Apple also revealed that it would feature new interviews from surviving bandmembers of Fleetwood Mac, including previously unseen footage, and archival interviews from the late Christine McVie.
“The documentary will explore what allowed this combination of artists to create singular musical work again and again, and what drew them back together and held them there when every possible pressure, both outside and inside the band, threatened to blow them apart”, they said.
Back in October, Fleetwood Mac launched a new “official” account for the band was launched on Instagram. The page is currently was inirially followed by just eight people, but two of them included members Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks.
