A back injury has sidelined Eric Clapton for a couple of shows on his current European tour, according to Vintage Vinyl News. The guitarist was forced to cancel his June 11th concert in Vienna and the following show on June 12th in Stuttgart.
A message was posted on the official EricClapton.com website saying: “Unfortunately Eric Clapton has had to cancel his concerts in Vienna, Austria and Stuttgart, Germany on his current tour due to severe back pain. He is currently with specialists who will be able to better determine the course of treatment. He was looking forward to these concerts and regrets that he is not to be able to perform for the fans. He would like to apologize for any inconveniences these cancellations may cause and would like to thank the fans for their understanding. All tickets can be returned to the Box Offices for refund.”
An update on the rescheduling of the shows will be announced at a later date.
Clapton is expected to make his next gig, this Friday (June 14th) in Oberhausen, Germany.
