“He has been taken to hospital for further treatment, and we will confirm more details in due course”.

“Genuinely should not be here” – Flintoff

In his latest documentary, Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams which aired on BBC One yesterday, Flintoff is a retired cricketer coaching a group of teenagers from difficult backgrounds.

Seven months after this incident, further footage shows the former cricketer considering if he was able to travel to India with a team of teenagers.

The show shows the presenter outlining to fans the extend of the damage suffered just over a week after the accident.

“Genuinely should not be here after what happened”, Flintoff said. “This is going to be a long road back and I have only just started and I am struggling already”.

“Got to look at the positive side, I’m still here, I’ve got another chance. I’ve got a go at it… a second go”.

Earlier this month, Andrew Flintoff had admitted that this accident had left him “struggling with my anxiety” and having “nightmares and flashbacks”.
