Gardai have attended the scene of a single-vehicle road traffic collision in the south of the capital.
The N81 between Citywest and Jobstown House is presently blocked off by Gardai. They are at the scene of what they describe as a serious incident between a car and a pedestrian.
Gardai have not confirmed if anyone had been badly injured in the incident.
Commuters are being advised that there are major delays on the stretch of road and are being warned to approach it with caution.
