Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s after he was found with 1.7kg of cocaine worth €117,000 while going through a checkpoint last night.
The man was stopped at Outer Ring Road near Clondalkin where Gardaí were carrying out a routine Covid -19 checkpoint when the discovery was made.
The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Ronanstown Garda Station.
He is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
