Gardai, have responded to reports of an attempted robbery of the ATM in Louth.
They also found a digger and tractor at the scene and a large amount of damage had also been caused to the bank involved.
A 4 x 4 was also found burnt out a short distance from the scene It's not known at this stage if any cash was stolen from the ATM
Gardai say no arrests have been made and Irish Street will stay closed while a technical examination is carried out
They are also appealing for anyone who was in Ardee between 3 and 5 this morning, or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them at Ardee Garda Station or any Garda station
