The man who was killed in last night’s shooting in north Dublin has been named locally as 22-year-old Sean Little.
His remains were found beside a car in flames at Rowans Little, Walshestown in Balbriggan at around 11.20pm.
His body has been removed from the scene of the fatal shooting ahead of a post-mortem examination at the Mater Hospital.
Reports today say that the late Mr. Little has been shot in the head and in the chest.Gardaí have launched a murder investigation.
They are examining whether the murder is linked to ongoing crime feuds in Drogheda and Dublin.
The road where the discovery was made as been sealed off at both ends and Diversions are in place.
The scene was sealed off ahead of a press briefing.
A garda spokesperson said …. “Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a car on fire at the above location and discovered a male (age unknown) with apparent gunshot wounds beside the car.
“Investigating Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact the incident room at Balbriggan Garda Station on
