The drugs were found on Friday evening at roughly 8.00pm. The discovery is a result of continuing investigations targeting criminal activity in the area.
A property was searched at Tallanstown in Ardee. The cannabis herb was seized by Gardai. The haul has an approximate street value of €600,000. Local Gardaí were assisted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
A man, in his mid-forties, was taken in by Gardai and is presently being held at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
