Aldi in America is set to release a new range of limited-edition cheeses that are named after tunes from the ’80s. The new line of fromages contains hits by Def Leppard and Guns N’ Roses in their smorgasbord.
According to UCR, Aldi’s Happy Farms comprise of nostalgia-themed items with “Sweet Cheddar of Mine” and “Pour Some Gouda on Me” cheese. Also in the new line of dairy delights, we see cheeses inspired by Cyndi Lauper (“Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina”).
There’s also cheeses with Michael Jackson (“Billie Goat Is My Lover”), Bonnie Tyler (“Total Eclipse of the Havarti”) and Wham! (“Wake Me Up Before You Goat-Goat”). The branding sees cows and goats representing the artists.
Aldi’s new promotion follows November’s advent calendar of cheese in the run-up to Christmas and last month’s heart-shaped mature cheddar wheels for Valentine’s Day.
