Cillian Murphy, Barry Keoghan and Andrew Scott will be among those who will represent Ireland at next year’s Golden Globes Awards.
Cork native and Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy, earned a nod for Best Actor for his portrayal of J Robert Oppenheimer in the Christopher Nolan film.
Back in September, Oppenheimer became the highest grossing film of all time.
Barry Keoghan once again earned a nod at the awards, for his role in Saltbarn, while Andrew Scott received a nomination in the same category for All Of Us Strangers, where he co stars with Paul Mescal.
The Golden Globes best actor category will also include, Leonardo Di Caprio (Killers Of The Flower Moon), Colmon Domingo (Rustin), and Bradley Cooper (Maestro).
Golden Globes Release Nominations
Elsewhere, comedy film Poor Things, which was produced by Ireland’s Element Pictures, also earned nods for Best Picture, Musical or Comedy, with Emma Stone nominated for Best Actress.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie earned a nomination for Best Actress, for her role in Barbie, with Greta Gerwig nominated for Best Director.

Speaking of Andrew Scott, he has said that his ‘All Of Us Strangers’ co star, Paul Mescal would make a “great” James Bond.
