Looking ahead to Electric Picnic, 75,000 attendees can look forward to warm weather as the descend on Stradbally this weekend.

Met Éireann have said that fans can expect the weather to be warm and sunny today, an ideal start to the weekend for Electric Picnic fans.

Temperatures are to stay between 17 and 21 degrees today, with the east of the country to benefit from this warm weather. Overnight, temperatures are to drop to lows of 8 degrees.

There may be a chance of the odd shower today, but it is unlikely to affect those who are attending Electric Picnic.

Weekend Ahead 

Looking ahead to tomorrow, scattered showers have been forecasted, as well as cloudy conditions across the country.

However, Met Éireann has revealed that EP concert goers will not be affected by the rain.

The east of the country is to remain dry throughout the day, with sunny spells the order of the day. Temperatures are to hit highs of 19 degrees.

Saturday night is to see the odd shower, as temperatures drop as low as 9C.

The final day of Electric Picnic is to remain dry, with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells, as well as the odd shower.

The south will also see sunnier skies later in the day, with temperatures to reach highs of 21 degrees, as the final EP act performs on stage in ideal weather conditions.

For fans leaving the Co Laois venue on Monday, Met Éireann have warned of breezy weather, with outbreaks of rain moving across the country.

Heavy spells of rain are also forecasted with spot flooding later. However, temperatures are to still remain at 20C.

The breezy weather is expected to continue into Tuesday, as well as sunny spells in parts of the east and southeast. It will remain dry with late sunshine, with showers set to ease.
