The Taoiseach says the Irish Government will move forward on trading restrictions with Israel's illegal settlements, regardless of broader European consensus.
The Attorney General has advised that there are strong legal grounds to revisit the Occupied Territories Bill, which aims to prohibit trade between Ireland and the settlements in occupied Palestinian territories.
Simon Harris has also confirmed his intention to bring the issue up with other European nations in the near future.
Speaking on his way into Government Building's today, the Taoiseach said Ireland would not wait around on other European countries to make up their minds.
"If there's more Ireland can do, Ireland will absolutely not be found wanting." Mr Harris said.
"I would like this current Government to make progress on this.
"Myself and my Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sanchez, have consistently raised at the European Council table the need for Europe to move in terms of ceasing trade with Israel until there's a ceasefire and an end to this violence."
