Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Says Their Hiatus Will Come to an End

The rock band hasn’t performed live since July 2014 but guitarist DJ Ashba doesn’t expect their hiatus will last long.

Ashba has denied Gun N’ Roses will not perform again saying he has front man Axl Rose’s “back whenever he needs me”. “Ever since I joined GN’R six years ago, it’s almost been non-stop touring. But we’ve kind of talked of more touring, and I’m looking at this more as a hiatus than the end” he told The Las Vegas Sun.

Axl Rose claimed that Guns N’Roses have two albums on the cards with the follow up to Chinese Democracy already completely recorded. “We recorded a lot of things before Chinese... was out. We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of Chinese... that’s already recorded.” He told Revolver last summer.

Guns N’ Roses keyboard player Dizzy Reed confirmed these remarks last winter saying; “There’s a lot of material that’s already done and I think it’s in the process of being finished and eventually we’ll pick out which songs need to come out with which other songs. So that’s in the works. Hopefully it will be out really soon.”
