Passengers making their way towards Dublin Airport can now avail of a new self-service passport control machine.
The airport have been conducting a trial period since April and the Department of Justice have now confirmed both Irish and EU passengers can use the machines.

The welcome addition rely on passport readers and facial recognition technology for access to another country and it is hoped the new machines will speed up passport control in airports while also strengthening security.
Travellers from Ireland and the EU need to be over the age of 18, hold e-passports and Irish passport cards.
