Wilson Confirms “time sensitive” Medical Procedure

Sharing further updates, Ann Wilson revealed in a separate post that she underwent a “time sensitive” medical procedure in May, to remove something that “as it turns out was cancerous”.

“The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it”, Wilson wrote.

“And so my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover”.

Ann Wilson also added that she “absolutely” intends to “to be back on stage in 2025”.

The singer also signed off by saying that this would be  “the last public statement I’d like to make on the matter”.

Back in 2022, Ann Wilson had said that Heart still had a “bunch of stuff planned”, having also released her solo album ‘Fierce Bliss’.

She also added that Heart had plans to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

“Oh, I think so, yeah”, Wilson said when asked if Heart had plans to mark the occasion.

“Because next year’s the 50-year [anniversary] of when we actually got together and got going. Nancy [Wilson, Ann’s sister and HEART guitarist] didn’t join until ’75, but the band got going in ’73. So, yeah, we have a bunch of stuff planned for next year. So I can definitely see HEART doing something”.

The singer had also released her her single ‘Greed’ .
