Pearl Jam are set to play in Marlay Park on Saturday the 22nd of June. Here’s everything you need to know before attending.
Getting there and back
Gates open at 4:00pm and the show will start at 5:00pm. Make sure to download or print you tickets prior to entering the venue to help avoid entry delays.
Concert organisers strongly advise that transport to and from the venue be planned well in advance. Attendees are encouraged to give themselves around 3 hours of extra travel time before and after the concert.
Organisers are also encouraging concert-goers to take public transport instead of driving as to avoid traffic congestion around the area.
By bus
Marathon Coaches are running a bus from Earlsfort Terrace in the city centre straight to Marlay Park. The service will need to be booked in advance HERE. A number of other regional and national coaches are providing bus services to Marlay Park, more details about these services can be found HERE.
Marathon is operating a park and ride service from Dundrum. Customers park in Dundrum Town Centre and a shuttle bus will take them to Stonemasons Way. This can be booked HERE.
By Luas
The Luas can also be taken to Marlay Park. Use the Green Line from the city centre to Dundrum. The stop is 35 minutes from Marley Park and there will be a shuttle bus running from Dundrum to Marlay Park. Tickets for this bus can be found HERE.
By Car
If you plan on driving, parking is very limited in Marlay Park and must be booked in advance HERE for a cost of €25 per car. The carpark entrance is located at College Road and is accessed via Whitechurch Road.
The recommended pick-up and drop-off area will be in Supervalu car park on Ballinteer Avenue.
By Taxi
Following the event, a taxi pick-up area will be located on Brehon Field Road. Though taxis for everyone can not be guaranteed by the organisers.
What you can and can’t bring
- No alcohol or drinks are permitted to be brought into the venue. With the exception of water and soft drinks in sealed bottles up to 500ml. Drinks can be purchased at the venue as well as drinking water facilities.
- No chairs, furniture or umbrellas are permitted
- No recording equipment, including selfie sticks, or professional cameras and microphones are permitted.
- Backpacks and handbags can be no larger than an A4 sheet of paper.
All items that are confiscated will not be returned to the owner so make sure you don’t bring anything valuable that is not permitted. For a full list of what you can and can’t bring go HERE.
Other bits to remember
Prepare for all weathers (This is Ireland after all!). Don’t forget those rain coats and ponchos, as well as good shoes in case of any rain (umbrellas are not permitted).
Under 16s have to be accompanied at all times by an adult over the age of 25. Unaccompanied under 16’s will not be allowed entry
All venue bars will be cashless but food vendors will take both cash and card payments.
Accessible ticket holders will be contacted directly about accessible parking and facilities on sight. If you hold general admissions tickets but require accessible facilities you must fill out an Access Enquiries form.
