Wake up, wake up! No it wasn’t a dream Hozier, the Irish singer-songwriter was the envy of many musicians last night when he performed at Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
The event took place at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre on Tuesday (December 2nd).
Bray’s answer to Jeff Buckley, was able to perform his massive hit ‘Take Me To Church’, without being distracted by any of the passing models. Hozier’s song has taken America by storm after it was used in a Nike ad featuring basketball star Lebron James.
‘Take Me To Church’ has gained non-stop momentum since its release. The track has been download 16 million times on iTunes, streamed 10 million times a week and the Bray native is number 1 on Spotify.
Hozier wasn’t the only one to perform on the night, he was joined by Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande on the Victoria’s Secret show stage.
His self-titled debut album was released in September, and beat U2’s LP Songs Of Innocence to the number 1 spot in Ireland. Hozier has also gone platinum in America and Canada.
