A pool table which was owned by singer Janis Joplin, is being sold at an auction.

The pool table was often used by the Queen of Rock & Roll, when she bought a home in Larskpur in 1969, a year before her tragic death aged 27.

This Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co March Cushion 1920s 9' pool table, is being sold at Julien's Auctions to coincide with what would have been Joplin's 81st birthday.

The pool table has remained in the house ever since the singer's death in 1970.

"rock your home with style"

The opening bids for this pool table begin at $2,500, and is expected to sell for between $10,000 and $20,000 by the end.

Julien's Auctions who are selling the Janis Joplin pool table, also posted this on their X account.

"Happy Birthday, Janis Joplin! Let's honor the iconic singer with a special auction – an exclusive Janis Joplin personally owned Brunswick pool table is now open for bidding. Don't wait, rock your home with style!", they said.

Last December, Juliien's Auctions also confirmed that a bass guitar which was once used by the late ZZ Top musician Dusty Hill, sold for $393,700.

This instrument 1953 Butterscotch Fender Precision bass guitar, became the second most expensive bass guitar to be sold at an auction.

The guitar also featured on ZZ Top's Fandango! album from 1975. More on this from Nova here.
