Inquest takes place into Christmas Eve murder victim

The inquest into the death of a man on Christmas Eve in Dublin 15 has both opened and adjourned.

26 year-old Tristan Sherry, was a suspected gunman on the night of the incident.

Mr Sherry lost his life on Christmas Eve in the aftermath of a violent incident at a popular steakhouse in Blanchardstown.

According to details presented at the inquest, Sherry sustained fatal injuries shortly after another man was shot while dining at the restaurant.

The cause of death was determined to be a traumatic blunt force injury to the head, combined with sharp injuries to the chest.

These injuries occurred just minutes after the shooting incident.

The inquest was adjourned to facilitate the progression of a related criminal case.

Several people have been arrested in connection with the events leading up to Sherry’s death and are due to appear in court.
