A woman's body has been recovered from the water in Clontarf in Dublin.
The alarm was raised and Gardai were called to the scene just after 7AM.
The body was found in an area where Vernon Avenue meets the coastal Clontarf Road.
Gardai say the body was removed from the scene, with enquiries ongoing and no further comment was available.
This is the second discovery of a body in 24 hours.
On Monday, emergency services were called to the water in Portmarnock, where a woman's body was found.
The woman in her 60's was discovered unresponsive, and later passed away.
Gardai did not comment, when asked if they believe that the two incidents could be related or linked.
