A major plan to stop parts of a Dublin train line from collapsing, has opened to the public.
It is also expected to protect homes along the route from Dun Laoghaire to Wicklow.
A public consultation has been launched on the project to limit the effects of climate change.
At least €230 million needs to be spent protecting the DART line from Merrion Gates to Wicklow harbour.
Irish Rail says wave "overtopping" onto the tracks and "track washout" have increased in the last 20 years, and that if action isn't taken parts of the line would be at risk within a decade.
Spokesperson Jane Cregan says they could see work starting in 4 years.
"This is a major climate resilience program that we are undertaking to protect the train line on the Rosslare route." she said.
"We are encouraging anyone living along that route, or people who enjoy the amenities along the route to look at the proposals we have published today and give their feedback.
"Significant amounts of the coast has been lost in the last decade - It wouldn't have been predicted to have eroded to the level that it has."
