With just over a month to go until Christmas, non-profit Irish company ELVES has announced the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) as its official charity partner.
PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe were on hand to join ELVES as media partner and celebrate the news of the official charity partnership and recognise the vital role played by the ISPCA in safeguarding the well-being of animals across Ireland.
They dynamic duo said this significant contribution underscores ELVES dedication to fostering a compassionate society and addressing the needs of animals in distress. Reflecting a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of animals and promoting responsible pet ownership.
“As two animal lovers, we are thrilled to champion the ISPCA and its dedication to the welfare of animals . Remember dogs, and all pets are not just for Christmas they are companions for life – kind of like our listeners, without the peeing outside and licking them. We hope that by promoting ELVES generous contribution it will inspire others to jump on board and contribute to the incredible work carried out by the ISPCA. There is an enduring bond between humans and their animal companions, look at me and Jim, not many people know that he’s 98% gorilla. We want to highlight the importance of responsible care throughout the entire life of a pet,” the beloved hosts and cereal messers on ‘Morning Glory’ on Radio Nova said.
ELVES, End-of-Life-Vehicle (ELV) compliance scheme, is a non-profit company set up by vehicle manufacturers to fund the recycling of scrap cars and small vans in Ireland. After several years assisting with collections for the ISPCA at popular events such as the Forever Young Festival, ELVES wished to become more involved with Ireland’s largest national animal welfare charity and support them with the life-changing differences they make to animals across the country.
Pat Kierans, Business Development Manager of ELVES said, “After several years working with the ISPCA, ELVES is delighted to establish the ISPCA as its official charity partner. ELVES looks forward to continuing the wonderful relationship and supporting the ISPCA and their marvellous hard working and dedicated staff, looking after animals nationwide.” Kierans also added, “we feel this is the right time, especially post-covid with many animals, especially dogs, needing extra care and attention”.
“We are delighted to officially partner with ELVES, enabling us to continue our vital animal welfare work rescuing and rehabilitating Ireland’s most cruelly treated, neglected, and abused animals. ELVES have been a fantastic supporter of the ISPCA over many years, and we are delighted to now become an official ELVES charity partner. Their generous donation will help us make a difference to the animals we rescue from the most appalling situations imaginable, and we look forward to further developing our partnership with ELVES in the future,” Dr Cyril Sullivan, CEO of the ISPCA said.
Every year the ISPCA help, rescue, treat and responsibly rehome tens of thousands of animals nationally and ELVES is proud to be part of promoting animal welfare.
