Jack White has threatened legal action against the Donald Trump campaign, after they used The White Stripes' track 'Seven Nation Army' in a promotional post.
White has become the latest musician to call out the Trump campaign over use of their music, with other names including David Bowie, Foo Fighters, the estate of the late Sinead O'Connor to name a few.
In April last year, David Bowie's son Duncan Jones also publicly blast Trump for using his late father's song 'Rebel Rebel' for his post arrest speech. More on this from Nova here.
Taking to social media, Jack White blasted the Trump campaign for using 'Seven Nation Army'.
"Don't even think about using my music you fascists," Jack wrote. "Have a great day at work today Margo Martin".
In this post, the singer mentioned an incident which involved a physical altercation during Donald Trump's visit to Arlington National Cemetery, where members of staff were accused of breaching laws regarding unauthorised photography.
He continued: "A double f**k you DonOLD for insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family's vote immediately from that if anything makes sense anymore".
White finished off this post by stating that a lawsuit would be coming Trump's way, "to add to your five thousand others".
Last month, Foo Fighters announced plans to take legal action against Trump for using their track 'My Hero' at a rally. More on this from Nova here.
August also saw Jack White announce the release of new solo album 'No Name'.
“True to his DIY roots, this album was recorded, produced, and mixed by White at his Third Man Studio throughout 2023 and 2024, pressed to vinyl at Third Man Pressing, and released by Third Man Records”, a press release said.
