Dublin has set their sights on a hat-trick, after successfully defending their All Ireland Ladies Senior Football title for the first time.

They beat Cork by 3-11 to 1-12 at Croke Park yesterday to lift the Brendan Martin Cup for the second successive year. Carla Rowe scored two well-taken goals.

It is the first time Dublin have beaten Cork in the Championship, and the Rebels’ first ever All Ireland final defeat.

Dublin will parade the Brendan Martin Cup at the St Sylvester’s club in Malahide this evening. The Dubs won their second successive All Ireland Ladies Senior Football title by beating Cork at Croke Park yesterday.

The Senior ladies Football team will be welcomed to City Hall by the Lord Mayor tomorrow evening. The civic reception will be held at 7:30pm in recognition of the dedication, commitment and skill of the team.
