Jared Leto, frontman with 30 Seconds To Mars, shared the news on social media that he had a rather terrifying almost lethal incident whilst rock climbing.
In a landscape appearing similar to Mars itself, the actor came pretty close to encountering the hooded figure of Death.
According to Billboard, Leto posted a photo on Twitter last Friday in which he can be seen dangling from a rock face. The second photo reveals an almost severed rope in his hands. The actor and singer said.
“Not to sound dramatic, but this is the day I nearly died. Took a pretty good fall climbing with @AlexHonnold at Red Rock. Looked up and within seconds the rope was being cut by the rock while I dangled some 600 ft in the air. I remember looking down at the ground below.”
A second post on his social media account came with a video clip of the climb and another message in which Leto said,
“It was a strange moment – less fear, more matter of fact, and slightly melancholy,” Leto wrote. “The adrenaline came after, when I got back on the wall. But we made it through and lived to see another day Overall it was actually quite fun. we continued climbing into the night…”
