ELO fronted by Jeff Lynne, has announced a final tour across North America.
The band, Electric Light Orchestra, will play more than two dozen shows across North America, staring on 24 August, before finishing up on October 25 this year.
This run of shows, titled 'The Over and Out Tour', will mark the first tour from ELO since 2019, where they released their last album, 'From Out of Nowhere'.
Their 2019 tour also marked their first tour in over 30 years.
Following the conclusion of that 2019 tour, ELO co founder Jeff Lynne who is is the only current bandmember from the original ELO line up, had stated that he had no plans to return to touring.
"I don't know what happened," he said.
"I just got talked into it by somebody on the radio [in 2013]. It was for charity, and we only had two numbers. That's all we practiced for, so we had to do 'Mr. Blue Sky' twice, because we hadn't learned enough songs for the encore. But it went down so great that then the BBC invited us to the Hyde Park concert for Radio 2 [in 2014], and that's what got us started, really".
This tour has been described as the final run of shows from ELO, which will include dates in California, Seattle, Cleveland, New York, and Denver.
Tickets will go on pre sale tomorrow at 10am, before going on general sale at 10am on Friday (March 22). More details can be found via the official ELO website here.
ELO were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
Back in 2020, Jeff Lynne was also awarded an OBE for his contribution to music, thanks to his work with ELO.
Lynne has also been hailed for his time with supergroup, Travelling Wilburys, and cowriting music with several huge artists.
