Joan Jett will release new music for the first time since 2006 with a 10-song album featuring contributions from Dave Grohl and Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!
"Varnished" is due out on October 1st will be Jett's 14th studio album with the Blackhearts.
The singer and guitarist says it's " highly personal set will touch upon such weighty topics as "the death of (Jett's) parents. . . the victims of Hurricane Sandy and the modern tendency to overshare online."
