Johnny Depp surprised the children of a Spanish hospital by appearing on the ward dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow.
The actor arrived at the Donostia University Hospital in Spain, when he showed up in his Pirates of the Caribbean costume, much to the delight of the children.
Johnny Depp turned up at the hospital, following the recent premiere of his movie Modi – Three Days On The Wing Of Madness at this week’s San Sebastian Film Festival, which hit their screens on Tuesday.

Hospital express “infinite gratitude” to Johnny Depp
Posting a wholesome message on X, the hospital thanked Depp for brightening the day for so many children.
“From all the staff of the Donostia University Hospital, we would like to express our infinite gratitude to Johnny Depp for his time, his support and his energy, as well as to @sansebastianfes for having facilitated this visit”, they wrote.
Johnny Depp has visited children at hospitals before, having been inspired to visit to cheer up patients, following his daughter Lily Rose’s nine day stint at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital for kidney failure in 2007.
This was caused by E.coli poisoning, which Depp had called “the darkest period of my life”.
“For me, it’s a gift. They give me the gift”, Depp said on cheering up children at the hospitals.
“When my daughter was ill in Great Ormond Street it was the darkest period of my life. I’d always done these visits but after that experience, the visits became more and more important”, he added. “The kids are so courageous but to be able to bring a smile or a giggle to the parents means everything in the world to me”.
