Jon Bon Jovi Pays Tribute To Beloved Mother Carol Bongiovi After Death At 83

Jon Bon Jovi has paid tribute to his late mother Carol, who passed away aged 83.

Carol Bongiovi who was a former Playboy bunny and US Marine, was also an entrepreneur who founded her son’s fan club, and operated a number of business.

She was also enlisted into the Marine Corps in 1959.

She passed away just three days shy of her 84th birthday at New Jersey’s Monmouth Medical Centre in Long Branch.

Carol was “a force to be reckoned with” – Bon Jovi

In a statement, Jon Bon Jovi called his a mother “a force to be reckoned with” in a sweet tribute.

“Our mother was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed”, the musician said.

Carol Bongiovi is survived by her husband John Bongiovi who she met in the US Marine Corps. They were married for 63 years.

She is also survived by their three sons and daughters-in-law, Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea, their son Anthony and his wife Nina Yang Bongiovi, their son Matthew and his wife Desiree Bongiovi, along with eight grandchildren.

Back in May, Jon Bon Jovi had also confirmed that his son and one of Carol’s grandchildren, married his fiancé Milly Bobby Brown, having announced their engagement in April last year.

Confirming their engagement at the time, Melissa Bobby Brown said: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all”. 

“They are great, they are absolutely fantastic”, Bon Jovi said. “It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true”. 

Melissa Bobby Brown also shot to fame starring as Eleven in Netflix Sci-Fi series, Stranger Things. She also starred in the Enola Holmes films.
