Keith Richards has recently released two new tracks from his upcoming album which releases next month. Richards released ‘Substantial Damage’ &’Amneisa’ from the new album on Spotify.
Crosseyed Hearts is Keith Richards’ first solo album in over 23 years and it will release next month on September 18th. The 15 track effort follows on from 1992’s Main Offender and his debut solo album 1988’s Talk Is Cheap.
Keith Richards new record will feature contributions from The Rolling Stones’ late saxophonist Bobby Keys, who died back in December 2014. A press release for the guitarist states that the record was inspired by reggae, rock, country and the blues.
Speaking of recording the new album Richards said “I had a ball making this new record and working with [drummer] Steve Jordan and [guitarist] Waddy Wachtel again,” adding that “There’s nothing like walking into a studio and having absolutely no idea what you’re going to come out with on the other end.”
Keith Richards also recently stated that he’s ready to write new material with the Rolling Stones. Richards said “Funny you should mention recording ” saying that “Just last week, the word ‘studio’ popped up while we were rehearsing. I said, ‘Well, let’s find a time. I’m ready’.”
