New music from Kings of Leon is on the horizon.
Bass player Jared Followill has announced that they will release their much-anticipated sixth studio album this September. As for the sound of the album, it actually goes back to Kings of Leon’s early years.Kings of Leon plan to unleash their latest full-length this Autumn.
“I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I’m amazed how youthful it sounds,” he notes. “It’s like a mix of [our 2003 debut release] ‘Youth and Young Manhood’ and [2007’s] ‘Because of the Times.’”
Kings of Leon’s last studio set, 2010’s “Come Around Sundown,” was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 54th Grammy Awards.
