Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey revealed that she's well on her way to completing her fourth album titled Honeymoon.
The New York born musician told Billboard, that she's written nine songs already and that fans should expect a "very different" sound this time around.
Lana Del Rey first came to prominence in 2011, with the song 'Video Games', taken off the Lana Del Ray EP. Her influences range from artists such as Elvis, Janis Joplin, Nirvana, Amy Winehouse and Bruce Springsteen.
Her second record titled Born To Die, released in 2012, went straight into number two on the Billboard album chart and became the fifth best-selling album of 2012.
The singer's third album 2014's Ultraviolence, went to number one on the Billboard album chart and has so far sold more than 2 million copies worldwide, making it her best selling LP to date.
Speaking to Billboard about her upcoming record, Lana Del Rey said: "I'm looking for a few more songs to tie everything together."
"It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, 'Born to Die' and 'Paradise'. I finished my last one in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea. It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good."
The album will feature a cover of Nina Simone's 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', Lana said: “I like summarising the record with a jazz song. I’m having fun with my interpretation.”
Lana Del Rey will be going on tour with Courtney Love in May as part of the Endless Summer Tour.
